UEFA Champions League Prediction: Galatasaray – Juventus (17-02-2026)

The Champions League play-offs finally starts this Tuesday, February 17th with Galatasaray welcoming Juventus. The Turkish side barely made it to this stage, but now have a great chance to redeem their fans’ confidence.

Galatasaray Form

Looking back, now it is hard to believe that Galatasaray did manage to qualify for the knockout stages as the team finished the last 4 rounds with only one point. However, the point was against the mighty Atletico Madrid at home, showing that the Turkish side can still play with anyone.

But in the last round, which did not happen too long ago, Galatasaray did not look promising at all failing to create anything and losing to Manchester City 2-0. This again showed that they are having a lot of trouble playing away, but they have collected 7 out of 10 points in home fixtures, which should worry the visitors.

In the Turkish top flight Gala remains the biggest powerhouse, sitting in first place and losing only once in 22 games so far. They’ve made some signings this winter transfer window, but it should not affect the expectations of this game.

Juventus Form

After a worrying start the Old Lady finished the Champions League group phase while being undefeated in the past 5 fixtures. This run catapulted them to the 12th place, which should satisfy the community knowing against what teams they have dropped points.

However, Juventus potentially had a chance to finish in the better position as they multiple top 8 teams lost at least twice and the fact that in the last round the Italian side failed to beat AS Monaco in an away fixture.

We can agree that Juventus looks better and better, but they still fail to show consistency in all competitions. At the start of the February they were brutally beaten by Atalanta 3-0 in Coppa Italia and later failed to beat out of form Lazio in Serie A.

What to Expect?

Since from now on the 2 leg format kicks in, Juventus does not need to rush in the attacking phase of the game and can play more carefully. With the inconsistency of the number 9’s J.David and L.Openda their hope in the front is their wingers.

Galatasaray is a different beast at home and did not concede more than one goal in this whole campaign so far. With Juve comfortable with a draw, we are not expecting more than one goal from the Old Lady. Online betting companies may consider this cautious approach when setting their odds.
