UEFA Champions League Prediction: Eintracht Frankfurt – Liverpool (23-10-2025)

Two sides with one of the worst runs in recent years will clash in Frankfurt with the hope of recovery. October remains a cursed month for Eintracht and Liverpool, but this Wednesday might become a turning point for one of the teams.

Match Prediction: Liverpool X2 and total goals over 2.5 @ 1.63

Back in September, Eintracht had a perfect Champions League start after trashing Galatasaray 5-1 in Germany. Since then, they have only won 1 match in the past 5 fixtures, including 3 losses. In the second round, another huge scoreline did not go their way when Atletico Madrid put 5 goals past them.

Times in the Bundesliga are tough too, with the Frankfurt team collecting one point after the international break in an away match against Freiburg. Although Eintracht sit in the 7th place in the German top-flight, their defensive record is the worst in the league – 18 goals conceded in only 7 games.

It will be very interesting to see what adjustments the team will make for this game, since Liverpool’s attacking potential is still huge and threatening despite the poor results.

The last time Liverpool F.C. lost four consecutive matches in all competitions in November 2014, so the current run is their first such fourth-game losing streak in over a decade.

After beating Atletico Madrid on the opening Champions League match day in the last seconds (3-2), they fell in Turkey versus Galatasaray 1-0. They were not able to get a single goal for the first time this season.

The past 3 games in the Premier League was a disaster with 3 straight losses suffered with the same scoreline 1-2 against Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Reds will be forced to make changes in the line-up, because the new big signings F.Wirtz and A.Isaak are underperforming and the team fails to get the desired results.

Despite the tragic run, English champions remain the favourites of the game due to their total squad value and the fact that either of the recent losses could have gone the other way.

The injury report shows that the goalkeeper Alison is still not available for this game, with R.Gravenberch picking up a minor injury, remaining in question for Wednesday.

However, all the other significant players will play including the return of J.Frimpong who should bring back energy on the right side of the pitch and help a struggling teammate M. Salah.

We should expect quite a few goals in this match, knowing Eintracht’s terrible defensive record and the fact that Liverpool failed to score only once in 10 official games in this season.

Their forwards, H. Ekiteke and A. Isaak, should feel a lot of pressure, and their direct competition for the starting position should motivate them to perform well in this game, making it an exciting option for betting sites offering goal-related markets.
