UEFA Champions League Prediction: Liverpool – Real Madrid (04-11-2025)

Tuesday night is special with one of the biggest European clubs facing each other. Always dangerous at home Liverpool welcomes Real Madrid who are one of the 5 clubs to hold the perfect record in the competition.

The 2024/25 Premier League champions this season are in their last year’s shadow. However, nothing is lost, especially in the Champions League, where the Reds have already recorded 2 wins. 

They beat Real Madrid’s fierce rival Atletico 3-2 at home, but got a quick setback in Turkey, where Galatasaray were victorious 1-0. Last round, Liverpool reminded everyone that they are still a threat after demolishing Eintracht 5-1 in front of their own fans.

Arne Slot decided to bench M.Salah and let A. Isak and H.Etikete start for the first time this season. The coach returned to his usual line-up this weekend, which resulted in another defeat as 2 goals were not enough to beat Brentford 2-3. 

It was 4 straight defeats for the Reds in a row in the Premier League, and now the team finds themselves in 7th place.

On paper, their biggest challenge was the last game against Juventus. In an entertaining game, the fans witnessed only one goal, which came from J.Bellingham in the 57th minute, as the Spanish giants got another clean sheet.

In the La Liga, Real Madrid are now 5 points clear from the second position after winning the El Clásico 2-1 after a long break. In form, K.Mbappe added another goal to his tally while J. Bellingham scored a winner. 

Although Real Madrid shows one of the best defences in Europe, it is hard not to see both sides sharing at least a goal, knowing the attacking potential they have to offer. Liverpool have not kept a clean sheet in the last 9 games across all competitions and on the injury list,  both teams have mainly defenders that will miss this game, which increases the chances for us to witness even more goals.

But for the Reds, one or two goals at best should be the maximum for this game, since the main forwards, M.Salah and H.Ekiteke, are still failing to show stability with A. Isak is questionable for this game after getting a minor groin injury.
