UEFA Champions League Prediction: Manchester City – Bayer Leverkusen  (25-11-2025)

High-flying Manchester City will be looking to exceed their undefeated Champions League games run this Tuesday. They welcome another German team and now are preparing to face a struggling Bayern Leverekusen side.

After 3 winless games Bayer Leverkusen were finally able to get their first win in the Champions League in Portugal. Die Werkself did not look great versus Benfica in round 4 with only 3 shots on target, but it was enough for them to get 3 points and win the match 1-0.

They finally entered the top 24, which allows later to play extra matches to qualify to the quarter finals. Previously Leverkusen already dropped points against such teams as Copenhagen and PSV and now for them the situation looks very rough.

But after a slow start in the Bundesliga now they are showing one of the best forms in Germany. Bayer won 4 games from the last 5 matches, losing only to Bayern Munich. 

The season is definitely far from being over as they find themselves in 5th place and are one step behind another successful Champions League qualification.

On the other side of the pitch, Manchester City’s current Champions League run is almost perfect. In the last matchday they beat Borussia Dortmund with ease, firing 4 goals past them and now are in 4th place. Previously, the Citizens showed their superiority over Napoli and Villarreal and have only dropped points in an away fixture versus Monaco, which ended 1-1.

Pep Guardiola’s men also found their form in the Premier League and with 3 losses already racked up multiple wins to climb the table ladders and now are in the second position.

With Omar Marmoush and Ryan Cherki back in the line-up, Erling Haaland gets way more help and Manchester City now are even more scarier in the attacking phase. Even reliable bookmakers have adjusted their odds to reflect City’s resurgence. Leverkusen’s good run in the Bundesliga mostly came against lower-table teams, and their poor UEFA Champions League form is no accident.
