Only 8 teams remain in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, fighting for the title. After the round of 16, 5 teams from Europe, 2 from Brazil, and 1 from Saudi Arabia remain in the tournament.
⚽ Prediction: Real vs Borussia Under 3.0 @ 1.85
In Thursday’s semifinals, we will see only 1 team from Europe – London’s Chelsea, which will play against Palmeiras. In the other semifinal, Fluminense will face Al-Hilal. On Saturday, the situation will be completely different, with European clubs facing off in both semifinals: PSG vs. Bayern and Real Madrid vs. Borussia Dortmund.

Real Madrid came into the FIFA Club World Cup as the clear favorites. The royal club began the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Al-Hilal, but went on to win the next two matches and secure first place in the group. In the round of 16, they warmed up against the formidable Juventus of Turin, winning 1-0.
The Borussia Dortmund club performed similarly to Real in the group stage, drawing their first match and then winning the next two. In the round of 16, Borussia defeated Monterrey 2-1. Interestingly, Borussia has not yet played against a European team in this tournament and faces one of its toughest tests in the quarterfinals.
Real will be without David Alaba, Ferland Mendy, Endrick, and Eduardo Camavinga in the quarterfinals due to injuries. Borussia’s losses are even greater, with a total of 9 players out, including Jobe Bellingham, Emre Can, and Carney Chukwuemeka. It will be tough to score against Real, as the Germans will face the best defense in the tournament.
Looking at Real Madrid, they have not been particularly prolific in front of goal so far. They scored three goals against RB Salzburg and Pachuca, but have only scored once against higher-ranked teams, drawing 1-1 with Al-Hilal and winning 1-0 against Juventus. Real Madrid should advance to the next stage, and we expect a 1-0 or 2-0 victory.
