Euroleague Season Predictions 2025-26

The 2025-26 Euroleague season begins on September 30, marking the first time that 20 teams will compete in the league. The number of games played in the regular season will increase, and we will see 10 top-level games in each round.

Last year, only 3 wins separated 5 and 11 place. This perfectly illustrates how competitive the Euroleague is, and this year we can expect even more competition. The number of teams has increased, but the format remains the same – the top 6 teams qualify for the TOP 8, while teams ranked 7th to 10th play in the playoffs.

FC Barcelona retained head coach Joan Penarroya but said goodbye to Justin Anderson, Jabari Parker, and Alex Abrines. The Istanbul club has not achieved any notable victories in the Euroleague for a long time, but with its current lineup, the team must fight not only for a place in the playoffs but also for home-court advantage. It may take some time for the team to gel with the new coach and for all the players to find their place on the court, but looking at the long Euroleague season, Anadolu Efes has more potential than FC Barcelona.

The Milan club has become the subject of ridicule in recent years, despite having a talented roster, for failing even to make the playoffs. There is a high probability that this will be Ettore Messina’s last season as head coach, so this is an excellent opportunity to leave with a solid result.

Milan conducted a thorough review of the player market in the summer. Although they lost Nikola Mirotić and Freddie Gillespie, they have added some excellent players. Lorenzo Brown, Marko Gudurić, Quinn Ellis, Vlatko Čančar, Devin Booker, and Bryant Dunston have arrived.

It looks like Josh Nebo, who didn’t really play last season due to injury, will start the season. Zach LeDay had a fantastic season last year and is expected to be one of the key players again this year. Euroleague champion M. Gudurič should add calmness and composure, while L. Brown should have a bigger role in Milan.

Almost all of Milan’s key players did not represent their national teams, allowing them time to prepare, which suggests that we can expect high-quality play from Olimpia from the start of the season.

BC Dubai is making its Euroleague debut, and it will be exciting to see how this team fits into such a competitive league. Last year, the club participated in the ABA league and performed exceptionally well; however, this year it will have to compete in 2 tournaments. There will be additional fatigue from traveling.

Looking at the roster, there are some high-level players, but individual names are not enough for the long Euroleague season. Head coach Jurica Golemac, who will have to manage players such as Džanan Musa, Dwayne Bacon, Filip Petrušev, Davis Bertans, and others, raises some doubts.

Mam Jaiteh suffered an injury before the season and will miss the entire year, which means there will be a big hole in the team’s front line. Examining the roster, it appears that BC Dubai will primarily focus on scoring more points than its opponents. Can this style of play be successful?

It should also be noted that BC Dubai will not have the usual support in the Euroleague, which means that visiting opponents should find it quite comfortable to play in Dubai. Home-court advantage is usually a significant plus in the Euroleague, but BC Dubai will likely not fully capitalize on it.

The Monaco club reached the final last season and is determined to fight for the title again this year. The issues with Mike James have been resolved, the guard remains with the team, and will once again be one of the most important players.

In the summer, AS Monaco finally found the player they were missing – a tall player who can shoot reliably from a distance. Nikola Mirotić is coming to Monaco, and after a few lackluster seasons in Milan, he will have the opportunity to prove himself again.

Nemanja Nedovič and Kevarrius Hayes have also joined AS Monaco. Although few changes have been made, they are not necessary when the core of the team remains intact. Elie Okobo, Alpha Diallo, Jaron Blossomgame, and Daniel Theis stay with the team.

The roster is capable of fighting for a place in the final four again, and AS Monaco understands the importance of having home court advantage in the playoffs. There is a good chance that the Monaco club will finish the regular season in the top 4.

Looking at Euroleague newcomers Hapoel Tel Aviv, the roster is excellent, but there are questions about the team’s overall play.

Last season, there were problems with Johnathan Motley, and Bruno Caboclo was also not very satisfied. Both players remain on the roster, but playing in the Euroleague should be more motivating than the European Cup. Hapoel has added Tyler Ennis, Vasilije Micić, Chris Jones, Elijah Bryant, Collin Malcolm, Tai Odiase, and Daniel Oturu to its core roster.

Hapoel’s roster can be considered one of the most talented, but some of the players will need to adjust to the pace of the Euroleague, where the competition and schedule are no longer at the level of the European Cup.

Another critical factor is that Hapoel will play on a neutral court, which means that their opponents will feel quite comfortable on the road. Not having home court advantage in the Euroleague really matters. V. Micič is the most high-profile summer signing, but the guard looked terrible at the European Men’s Basketball Championship, and it will undoubtedly take time for the Serbian to reach his best form.

The Tel Aviv club can fight for a place in the playoffs, but AS Monaco has much greater stability, and we expect this team to finish higher in the regular season this year.

Partizan Belgrade had a disappointing season last year, but made several significant changes in the summer that significantly increased the team’s chances.

Only Brandon Davies and Isiaha Mike left the team, while Jabari Parker, Dylan Osetkowski, and Shake Milton joined. The front line remains not the strongest, but the addition of J. Parker and S. Milton will contribute to an even better team offense.

It should be noted that Partizan is coached by Željko Obradović, who has already demonstrated that he can achieve excellent results even with a less talented lineup. Last season, the team underwent a complete rebuild, and this year, we can expect even better play.

This will be the second season in the Euroleague for Carlik Jones, who already made an excellent debut. Qualifying for the Euroleague playoffs is no easy task, but considering how difficult it is to win in Belgrade, Partizan seems well-positioned to advance into the quarterfinals.

The 2025-26 Euroleague promises an exciting season with 20 teams competing in a full 38-game regular season, followed by playoffs and the Final Four in Athens from May 22–24, 2026.
