Euro 2021 Format
The format for this competition will be the same as we saw back at the last tournament which was Euro 2016. This means the expansion of the competition continues, with 24 teams taking part rather than 16 which we have seen in the past.
The idea behind this was to give smaller nations a chance to compete at the finals and gain experience, looking back at Euro 2016, Wales took advantage of that in great style, reaching the semi-finals when they have struggled to qualify for many years.
- The 24 teams are split into six Euro 2021 groups
- The top two teams from each group, plus the four best third-placed finishers will qualify for the knockout round
- These 16 teams will play the first knockout round, followed by the quarter-finals, semi-finals and lastly the final
Each group detailed forecast you can find in UEFA Euro 2021 prediction article.

Euro 2021 Tickets Information
It is fair to say that ticketing for 2021 Euros is currently up in the air. The original dates for 2020 saw tickets sold to fans from all over Europe, who intended to travel and watch their team play. International travel between countries will not be possible for some people now, and stadiums will not have full capacities in place either.
UEFA have yet to make an official comment, but the belief is that they are going to refund every fan for the tickets bought originally and begin the entire process again. Tickets will be limited based on what the expected capacity of grounds will be at the time, plus there will be restrictions on who can buy the tickets based on what is happening with international air travel.
The limited capacity plus travel problems have made this a very complex issue that will take time to solve. It is fair to say that it is very likely we will see fans at the games, though not as many as we usually see and meeting points such as fan parks around the host cities are unlikely to be open and available to use.
Euro 2021 Qualified Teams
A total of 24 teams have worked their way through the European Championships qualifying stage to get to the finals. These teams will take centre stage and showcase their footballing ability to the world. Even teams who are knocked out in the group stage and are the first to go home will get three games to play at the tournament, so we will see all teams play more than once.
Here are the 24 teams taking part.
Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Wales
