Charles Jourdain vs Kyler Phillips
Canada’s own Charles Air Jourdain starts his 7th year of fighting under the UFC promotion. Despite an unimpressive record of 8 wins, 7 losses and 1 draw the fighter looked really great lately.
From November, 2024 till now Jourdain fought two times starting with the second round finish of Victor Henry. In October, 2025 the Canadian racked up his second in a row win over Davey Grant, this time ending the bout in the first round with a guillotine submission.
Both of these fights earned him a performance of the night bonuses and improved his finishing record. Now in his wins in the UFC Jourdain went to the decision only 25% of the time while he has won 50% via submission.
Kyler Phillips made a lot of noise since joining the promotion in 2020 and has one of the most colorful resumes. The American has wins over the likes of Song Yadong and Pedro Munhoz, but failed to beat a lesser competition.

Similar to Jourdain, from the end to 2024 till now, Kyler fought only two times. Unfortunately both bouts ended in defeats and now he finds himself unranked. The Matrix lost to Rob Font in October, 2024 via unanimous decision after failing to show up in R2 and R3.
His 2025 was not good as well as Phillips failed a test against Vinicius Oliveira once again winning the first round, but losing the two remaining ones. This should raise alert to the coaches as it seems that their fighter gets figured out or fails to make adjustments in fight.
What to Expect from Charles Jourdain vs Kyler Phillips Fight?
Although Kyler Phillips has 3 losses in the UFC, he has never been finished and hasn’t received significant damage in those fights.
It is very likely this fight will go all 3 rounds unless Charles Jourdain catches Phillips in one of his submissions. The Canadian has looked much better recently, and well-known bookies are backing him in this fight.
Gilbert Burns vs Mike Malott
Once a number one contender and a title challenger Gilbert Durinho Burns might be looking at the sunset of his career. The Brazilian fighter has not won since April 2023 and is facing a 4-fights losing streak.
Yet, all of those losses were against the best of the best of the division as all of them are top 5 fighters right now. From May 2023 to May 2025 Burns lost to Belal Muhammad, Della Maddalena, Sean Brady and Michael Morales.
Only Maddalena and Morales were able to finish the Brazilian, but Morales was his last bout and the finish was in the first round which raises some questions in which state Burns will enter this fight.

For Mike Malott this fight is a very symbolic and important one since a win would break him into the top 15. The Canadian is now 6-1 with the UFC and was fairly active in 2025.
In May Malott faced Charles Radtke, landing a left hook and finishing the opponent later with ground punches in the beginning of the 2nd round. In October he faced a well known name in Kevin Holland, earning a unanimous decision win.
What to Expect from Gilbert Burns vs Mike Malott Fight?
Mike Malott has two 1st round finishes in the UFC while Burns lost only once in the 1st round. Moreover, this fight is a main event 5 rounder, so both fighters will take cardio save up into the account.
The odds at UFC bookmakers for us to see the 2nd round are too generous, and we can easily see this fight going past the 1st round.
