The international break is over, and club football is back. Teams have already played in their domestic championships over the weekend, the UEFA Champions League will be played this week, and the first El Clasico will take place in Spain this coming weekend.
In the Champions League, Barcelona plays Bayern Munich at home on Wednesday, and Real Madrid plays Borussia Dortmund in Madrid on Tuesday. Both clubs are expected to face serious opposition, so there will be no place to relax ahead of this weekend’s match.

If we look at the matches between the teams, they played each other three times last year, and Real won 2-1, 4-1, and 3-2. Two years ago, the teams played each other five times, and Barca won four of them, with results of 1:2, 3:0, 0:4, 2:1, and 0:1.
Excluding friendlies, Real has played Barca eight times in the last two years, and only once did they score less than 3 goals. A total of more than 3.0 seems like a pretty safe option, although the odds on football betting sites are only 1.75, it’s still worth taking. For a more adventurous option, a total OVER 3.25 is worth a risk.
