However, it should be noted straight away that Georgia is one of the weakest, if not the weakest, teams in the championship. Their group is also not the easiest – apart from the Portuguese, the other teams are of a lower level but with high ambitions.

The Turks could be in better shape going into the European Football Championship, with four friendlies, one draw against Portugal, and three defeats against Hungary, Austria, and Poland.
