England scored the most beautiful goal of the tournament in the quarter-finals of the EURO 2024. It seems fashionable to say bad things about the English team – they are playing poorly, not worthy of a place in the quarter-finals, etc. However, the team is doing what was expected of them – topping the group and now within one win of the EURO 2024 semi-finals.

Switzerland knocked out the champions, Italy, but it was no surprise to anyone. Italy arrived with a strong renewal, and it was not the players who had to defend the title who won it.
It is worth remembering that this team not only drew against Germany but also with Scotland, which shows that the Swiss are not unbeatable. Against England, Switzerland will face the best defence, and it will not be easy to create chances.
Although the squad includes some experienced players, the talent is clearly on England’s side. We have already seen what individually strong players can do against Slovakia. The relief from the tension after such a drawn-out game should be great for the whole squad.
