Only Spain can be confident in this group, having won their first two matches (3-0 against Croatia and 1-0 against Italy) and secured first place.

For Spain, the match against Albania has no impact on the group standings, while a win for Albania could still take them into the playoffs, but the Spaniards are considered the clear favourites.
The situation between Croatia and Italy will be far more interesting. The European champions have three points; a draw is enough to keep their title defence alive.

Croatia started the tournament with a crushing defeat against Spain. They were also down for a long time against the Albanians, then broke through, but when it looked as if they were going to escape, conceded an equalising goal in the last minutes.
Croatia had a tough start to the tournament, and beating Italy would be difficult.
Croatia has conceded five goals in two EURO 2024 matches so far. The defence has many problems, but the attack also needs more quality. If creating chances was difficult against Spain, it was no easier against Albania.

Seeing the situation of the teams, it is clear that the Italians will not be too worried about a win here. A draw is a good option for them, meaning the ball should be given to Croatia.
Considering how Croatia struggled to score in the first two games, there is a good chance that Italy will be able to defend. Even if they concede a goal, they can escape with a 1-1 draw. With the playoffs already underway for both teams, we can expect much more cautious football.
